Taking a shot every time Duolingo gives me a weird sentence
well i guess if duolingo as a whole is weird, I'll just have to drink up for every question
been a while since i've last uploaded, so sorry about that. i recorded this two months ago and it's finally going up now. I've been busy with other things and have been working on other stuff, but hopefully more videos can come out! thanks for watching.
also I'm trying to see if shorter videos work better. feel like it makes sense to make a shorter and more entertaining video rather than making it longer for no good reason

[UNI VLOG] Korean guy fashion: what I WEAR in a week in UNIVERSITY
Переглядів 1,6 тис.5 місяців тому
i'm no fashion expert, but in my opinion, fashion is very subjective; there is no right or wrong to it. i realized that essentially only girls make "what i wear in a week" videos (and all of them make it because they're getting sponsored with the clothes they show in the video anyway). so i thought, would it be possible: (1) for a GUY to (2) wear SEVEN COMPLETELY DIFFERENT outfits (with no over...
NYU STERN 101: What classes to take in Freshman Year (+ advice from a senior)
Переглядів 3,1 тис.6 місяців тому
This is a super comprehensive guide of what classes you should take as a freshman at NYU Stern. I've actually wanted to make this video for a long time (since Feb. 2022) and I had even written most of the script back then, but I never followed up with it. Now, only after I've become a senior, I've decided to complete that video (it turned out to be a good choice because the Curriculum Worksheet...

How to Write Korean in 20 Minutes
Переглядів 13 тис.8 місяців тому
If you ever wanted to learn how to write Korean, then this video will be perfect. Here, I talk about both handwriting and typing because, after all, typing is just digital writing, and I assumed people would be curious about both. This video covers various topics from the writing orders of Korean letters, to the science behind the Korean keyboard, to the weird depths of the Korean iceberg-this ...

It only took me 3 years to finally make a Stern tour. I was going to make this back on Feb. 16, 2022 (the same period as the Alumni Hall Tour and the Dining Hall Tour), but it seemed like too much of a hassle. So it's finally here now. Would you believe it if i told you i rented out the entire school to shoot this video? of course you wouldn’t because i didn’t. it was just a really empty weeken...

*aka speedrunning total liver failure on my 21st birthday* Hey guys! Welcome to my 21st birthday video! aka vlogging with a 2000s canon camera i decided to use a camera made in the 2000s for this video. why? i love the old effect that the video has... because it's genuine old footage and not filtered in any sort of way. plus, i had basically never used it to record a long video (Olleh Replay being a small exception, but even then, I didn't record any audio). and i thought visiting a relatively ca...

So that was fast! 😂 It served as a review for me. I liked how you gave the names of the letters. I had discovered them after a teacher was trying to spell out words for me to write. I loved the pattern that all the names start and end with the character they are naming. King Soejung and his scholars were pretty genius!😮 😊

Omg typing them out like that and clearly explaining positioning sounds finally made it click in place for me, I wish anyone else had done that. I only found out by accident that there were pronunciation changes at all, Duolingo doesn't make that clear TT You're a lifesaver!

I think the bow thing is different in different cultures. In the UK, and a lot of American TV shows, bowing is a form of submission. You bow to a king, the monarchy, a priest, etc. While it is more common place in Korea. I get where he is coming from but to feel emasculated is a bit much and not understanding their culture and the traditions of the area.

I replaced a high school ring I lost decades ago. It's also a tribute style, with a garnet colored stone. I went with 10k yellow gold, just like my original (it was $196 in 1979, and over $1200 in 2024!). Nearly all the rings were gold 45 years ago. It's just ridiculous how much gold prices have increased.

While learning Czech Duolingo will just say say something like “Is home” and you have to choose the pronoun. Imagine just saying in a conversation “Ano, je doma” (Yes, is home) and having no idea who the hell you’re talking about (Pretty much just the you don’t need to use pronouns)
